James Orchid is a 24 year old singer-songwriter, musician, & producer born and raised in San Antonio, TX. Having written poetry from a young age, his work is often informed by intricate, introspective lyrics that touch on themes of isolation, metaphysics, and the transcendence of the natural world. His songs also tend to possess an experimental quality stemming from his interests in psychedelics and psychology (the latter of which he has a degree in). Orchid has been playing instruments all his life, but recently began his career in 2018 on SoundCloud. His most recent projects include performing virtually at Ceecide Music Festival and contributing a cover for the charity compilation album, SA Covers For a Cause.
